What exactly is measured

Year-on-year growth in the all-India Index of Industrial Production (base 2022-23=100), covering mining, manufacturing, electricity and water supply. MoSPI moved IIP to the new base in June 2026; growth on the new base starts in April 2024, and figures from the old 2011-12 series are not comparable, so they are not shown. The latest month is a quick estimate and is revised in later releases.
