What exactly is measured
Gross foreign direct investment inflows into India each financial year, in US$ billion: equity, equity capital of unincorporated bodies, reinvested earnings and other capital, as compiled in DPIIT's FDI fact sheet from the RBI Bulletin (Table 35). These are gross inflows, not net FDI. Reinvested earnings and other capital for recent years are estimates, and the latest year is provisional.
