What exactly is measured

Gross Goods and Services Tax collected each month: central, state and integrated GST on domestic supplies and imports, before refunds, in crore rupees, from the official GST statistics workbook. Compensation cess is left out throughout. From the April 2026 sheet the published total excludes it and 2025-26 is restated the same way; for 2024-25 and September 2025 to March 2026 the cess line is taken off the published total, which gives exactly the restated figures. Headline numbers reported at the time for those months included cess and are higher. All figures are provisional.
