What this shows
- This services group grew 8.5% in real terms in Q1 (April–June) 2026-27, down from 12.9% in Q4 2025-26 and 9.8% a year earlier; at current prices it grew 14.0%.
- Indicators for the quarter were mixed: commercial vehicle sales rose 18.3% and railway passenger-km 8.3%, while international air traffic fell 19.5% (press note annexure, 31 August 2026).
- Growth ran above 10% in every quarter of 2023-24, slowed to 5.9–8.1% through 2024-25, then picked up again in 2025-26.
