What exactly is measured

Year-on-year change in the all-India Wholesale Price Index (all commodities, base 2022-23=100), compiled by the Office of the Economic Adviser, DPIIT. The new base was released in June 2026; monthly rates on it are shown from May 2025, the first month DPIIT published, and rates on the old 2011-12 base are not comparable. The latest month is provisional and is finalised two months later.
