What exactly is measured

Production of foodgrains (rice, wheat, nutri/coarse cereals and pulses) in million tonnes, kharif, rabi and summer seasons together, from the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. The latest year is the third advance estimate and will be revised. The first two advance estimates of a year leave out some seasons, so a year is charted only once all three are in.
